Saturday in the garden.

Just thought I would post a few pictures of some of my gardens.

We are babysitting little Owen and the mad weiner dog Chip overnight, so I am sure that I will have some new pics once I recover:)

An update on our mother duck. She either had her babies and took them away before I noticed, or none of her eggs survived. She has disappeared, and the eggs in the nest are broken. I was looking forward to seeing the little ducklings, but I guess it wasn't meant to be. At least I can get in that spot of the garden now and do so much needed weeding.

Enjoy!!

Wooly hugs, Trudy

Your gardens are beautiful Trudy! I wish mine lokked half as nice. I love the color of your lupine, and your clematis is lovely. You have a beautiful yard and it's obvious that you work very hard to keep it looking beautiful!

  3. Trudy ~ your gardens are so orderly!! Hope you don't overdo it!! Regarding your duckies ~ as I said in my blog, if I hadn't seen those turkey babies on that Monday, I would have missed them altogether. Evidently, mother duck was the same way ~ hatched them and off they went!!

  11. Trudy, your gardens are lovely. Living on a corner lot, I've got too much yard to mulch it all over and plant flowers like you have but we're working hard on the flower beds this year and it's all paying off. Your flowers are all so pretty and I love your home. Very welcoming.

  15. Your garden is gorgeous and Owen is just adorable!

I don't know if this is your first visit but we had a momma duck lay 11 eggs on property this spring. We got a teeny glimpse of the ducks before she took them away. It was so interesting! I have been told, they take them to water as soon as possible. We saw them, went inside and minutes later they were all gone. I hope that happened to yours as well!
