I am so grateful for the comments, emails ect. from all of my online buddies while struggling physically with my MS/Fibro over the past few weeks, that I want to share the love with you all!!
I decided to have a little giveaway, another penny rug kit for you!! Below are a couple of pictures of the one I made for my daughter-in-law Kerri, who is having a BOY BABY (we just found out) in February!!
All cut up, and pinned in place with instructions on finishing this little piece. I will send it anywhere in the world, so dont be shy about entering:) I think that the closing date for this giveaway will be on our (I'm Canadian) Thanksgiving Monday (cause I am so very thankful for my online friends) which is Monday, October 13th at 6:00pm. Winner will be announced either later that night, or first thing the next morning. That gives you all lots of time to enter, and to tell your friends to enter. I love finding 'new' blogs, and giveaways are a great way to discover them.
You don't have to have a blog to enter, but you MUST leave a comment on this post ONLY, and make sure that you leave an email address, or blog link so that I can get in touch with you.
Remember, post a comment ON THIS POST ONLY to enter this giveaway!

I hope you start feeling better...nothing any worse then being in pain all the time. Trust me I know. I have Ankylosing Spondilytis (AS), fusing of my spine, rib cage and hips. Very painful. But we must keep our head held high and be positive even though I know there are days we just don't feel like it.
You say that you are Canadian, so am I :) I haven't found to many Canadians on blog land. So nice to hear :) I am from the East Coast.
Sandy

ReplyDeleteTrudy,
ReplyDeleteJust wanted to say hi and what a great giveaway.
I don't want to enter, just wanted to let you know that I think giveaways are great and I will be doing one soon myself.
Debbie
Hi Trudy,
ReplyDeleteJust wanted to say i checked out your blog and i can soooooo relate to you. I too have Fibro and know how horrible it is. I can certainly relate to not getting things done like you used to, and the sadness of filling in flower gardens too. BTW, your gardens are gorgeous! I loved the story of your hockey player...i'm a big Red Wings fan....Stevie Yzerman played for (or was he just from) Peterborough! I noticed your mention of a Yahoo group for Fibre and Fibro...i can't wait to check that out. It does help to have someone to commiserate with.
I'd love to be entered in your give-away. Be Strong - Hang in there. Glad you're feeling better. Peg
Just found your blog and will be back to do more reading. My sister has fibro too. Love the giveaway.
ReplyDeleteCongratulations from one new Grandmother to a future grandmother!
ReplyDeleteYour rug is beautiful & I would be thrilled to be entered in the drawing.
Blessings 2 U Friend
I just connected to your blog from the yahoo group and wow - not even getting thru it all, I will have to find some time to take and read all about you.
ReplyDeleteOne thing I was wondering on your penny rugs, can they be made from felted sweaters. I was given some (no I won't say how many) that are in different stages of felting and felt that to strip for a rug I think some would fall apart. So was wondering would they work for a penny rug.
And if you say to try a purse, I have batted that idea around, but haven't gone far enough to get excited enough to try it.
My other question is, do you find that when you are hooking or even just looking at mags or reading on the computer about it that you relax more and your aches and pains subside? I have been wondering how to address a friend's pain issue with her.
Hugs from Ottawa, ON
